Hdrop

The revolution in hydration tracking
Hdrop is a pioneer in the field of wearable health technology, with a specific focus on one of the most crucial, yet often overlooked, aspects of sporting performance: hydration. Whilst traditional sports watches focus on heart rate and speed, Hdrop looks at what is actually happening inside your body during exercise.

The company was founded on the vision that measuring fluid loss and electrolyte balance should no longer be limited to expensive laboratory tests. By making advanced biosensors accessible to every athlete, Hdrop helps sportspeople prevent dehydration, muscle cramps and a drop in performance. Whether you’re running a marathon or going on an intense bike ride, Hdrop gives you the data you need to hydrate smarter and recover faster

How does the Hdrop sensor work?

Hdrop’s technology is unique because it is non-invasive. The sensor is worn on the skin (usually on the upper arm) and analyses the composition of your sweat in real time. Sweat analysis: The sensor detects microscopic amounts of sweat beneath the device. Data generation: The built-in biosensor measures the concentration of electrolytes and the rate at which you are losing fluid. Instant feedback: Via a Bluetooth connection to your smartphone or cycle computer (such as Garmin or Wahoo), Hdrop tells you exactly how many millilitres of fluid you need to drink per hour and how much salt (electrolytes) you need to replenish.

Who is Hdrop suitable for?

The Hdrop sensor is an indispensable tool for anyone serious about pushing their physical limits:

  • Endurance athletes: Cyclists, triathletes and runners who want to know their ‘sweat rate’ to optimise their race strategy.
  • Athletes in hot climates: When temperatures rise, hydration becomes a matter of safety and performance.
  • Coaches and professionals: For drawing up personalised nutrition plans based on objective data rather than guesswork.
  • Recreational athletes suffering from cramps: People who frequently suffer from cramps and want to understand whether a deficiency in specific electrolytes is the cause.
